"Passive Income - the Key to Creating Wealth"

Creating passive income - also known as residual income - is the goal of network marketing. It is the key to wealth creation.

Passive income, or residual income, is where you continue to be paid in the future for effort you put in now. It's what you get if you record a hit song, or buy and rent out a building, or write a best selling novel.

The vast majority of us trade hours for dollars. And if that ends up being our only source of income then we will never create real wealth. We might be earning very well but unless we use some of that money to create a source of residual income we will never be financially independent.

As long as we are trading hours for dollars we will always be vulnerable to the fast changing economic times. As world renown economist Paul Zane Pilzer says - change is that rapid today that our job will alter substantially or disappear within the next 2 or 3 years, possibly 2 or 3 months.

If you have been following the progress of this site you might be beginning to doubt that you could use network marketing to create passive income.

Relax. Because you can.

You've just got to do the OPPOSITE of what you are being told to do by your upline. They don't have a proven system.

If what they say really worked then 97% of us wouldn't fail.

OK. Let's have a look at what we have learned so far.

- Don't pester your network of contacts. That's your family, friends, work colleagues and other people you know. It's called your warm market. You approach them once you have developed momentum. At the very least they will be intrigued to know what it is you are doing. If a significant number join you at this later stage it will push your business into overdrive as you teach them to build the business properly.

- The business is not about sharing. It's about selling. Accept that. But understand what selling really is. It's about providing SOLUTIONS for people's problems. And if they don't have a problem, or don't perceive that they have one, you can't provide a solution. You might believe that they need to create some passive income but if they don't see it - then that's it. No sale. Don't knock yourself out.

- Recognize that this business is NOT for everyone. Not everyone has the ability or the resources. It's tough - I know. You need a bunch of people signing up. But I can tell you this - if you have to coerce people then you will be doing the same thing every month, just to keep them.

- Don't get sucked in by the promise that you won't have to sell, call prospects etc. because that's all done for you. Run a mile from these schemes. To keep your team on track requires the personal touch. Do not delegate that part of your business.

- Marketing and selling are the most IMPORTANT components of your business. If you have a big 'why' that's great - but it is no substitute for a proper marketing system. A system that attracts prospects to you. Anyway, if you have understood the need for passive income you have a big 'why'.

So how do we set it up so that we don't fail?

Well, at the beginning of the home page I posed the question:

Does network marketing (MLM) still work in the age of the internet?

Answer. Yes - in fact you need the internet. You have to set your business up to attract people to you already PRE-SOLD and willing to join you. They'll want what you have. The best way to do this is via the internet.
