"This Is A Real Business Opportunity And NOT Everyone Can Do It"

"This is a business opportunity that anyone can do"

Heard that before? It's another untruth that is told to all new recruits.

Not that it couldn't be done by many people. In fact, it is essential that many 'ordinary' people are recruited into network marketing - it's what makes it work. However if anyone can do it then where are all the millionaires?

You see, our company and upline need us to believe that everybody can do it to keep replacing the number of recruits that fall by the wayside.

There are several reasons why this business is not for everybody but basically it breaks down to this:

Not everybody is created equally - either in ability or resources.

Consider this. Joan is a single, successful business woman. She is a top flight sales executive in her day job. She is recruited into network marketing. What are the resources she brings with her?

- She is financially stable

- She can bring cash into the business

- She has sales ability

- She has loads of contacts (not necessarily a good thing as we saw here (opens a new window).

Compare that to an unemployed electrician with a wife and two kids.

Now both could do the business BUT who has the best chance of success given that they both have the same drive?

You see this is a business opportunity and it's a business that needs at least 16-20 hours of your input per week. It could be done on less but not easily - not if you invest the required time into training and support.

As a business, it has start up costs like any other business. It at least needs a marketing budget. You probably won't be told this but without a marketing budget you won't have a constant flow of new prospects. And without these you are dead in the water. You either have to generate these yourself or buy them.

So, you get the picture. Without enough time and money the new prospect will have an incredibly difficult task in front of her. This is a business opportunity that is not suited to everyone.
